1. Power-on operation
After the pelletizer is shut down, the temperature in the pelletizing room is still high, resulting in the loss of butter inside the press roller. Therefore, when restarting the machine, the automatic butter lubrication pump should be set to continuously run for 15-20 minutes, and then switch to automatic oiling. This ensures that there is enough butter inside the press roller and avoids burning the bearings due to lack of lubrication. The oiling and stop time of the automatic butter pump should be set according to the actual working conditions, usually set to oiling for 1 minute and stop for 6 minutes.
2. Press roller assembly
Incorrect assembly methods can also cause bearing damage. Taking the 560 roll total as an example, the total height of the roll leather is 118mm. The combined bearing housing height, bearing spacer height and gland step height should be equal to 118mm to avoid gaps and shaking between parts. During the assembly process, keep the parts clean and dust-free, and avoid hitting the bearing directly with a hammer. The bearing should be heated and assembled on the eccentric shaft. The round nut must lock the roller assembly to ensure that the sound of internal parts colliding when shaking with your hands is not heard.
3. Quality of bearings, butter and oil seals
It is crucial to choose genuine bearings and high-temperature resistant butter to ensure the normal operation of the pellet machine press roller. Especially for oil seals, high-temperature and wear-resistant fluorine oil seals should be chosen to prevent dust from entering the inside of the pressure roller. Once dust enters, it can quickly cause carbon accumulation and clumping of butter, which in turn damages the bearings.
