For a small workshop producing 500 catties of feed per month, the annual energy cost is approximately 300 to 600 yuan; for a medium-sized workshop producing 2000 catties per month, the annual energy cost is approximately 1200 to 2400 yuan. Over the long term, this can accumulate into a significant expense.

 

Other hidden costs include maintenance labor costs, equipment depreciation, and after-sales repair costs. Maintenance labor costs mainly consist of labor expenses for equipment cleaning and parts replacement, amounting to approximately 1,000-3,000 yuan per year. Equipment is depreciated over 5 years, with annual depreciation costs at 20% of the initial purchase price. If equipment malfunctions and requires manufacturer repair, on-site service fees are approximately 500-2,000 yuan per instance. When purchasing, a comprehensive evaluation of the initial price and hidden costs is necessary. Choosing equipment with a moderate initial price, universally compatible wear parts, and low energy consumption, such as mid-range models from domestic brands equipped with 38CrMoAl screws, can effectively reduce long-term operating costs.
