Raw Material Pretreatment: Adapted to the operational requirements of wet dog food making machines. Before starting the wet dog food making machine, the raw materials must be standardized. Mix corn flour, soybean meal, meat meal, vitamins, and other raw materials according to the formula, with starch content controlled at 40%-50% to provide sufficient forming support for dry extrusion. Then, pulverize the mixed raw materials to 80-100 mesh, and remove impurities such as metal and stones through a vibrating screen and magnetic separator to avoid wear on the extruder screw and die. Finally, adjust the raw material moisture content to 10%-12% (specific moisture content for dry extrusion), mix evenly, and feed into the hopper to ensure the material is dry and loose, adapting to the dry extruder's operation characteristics where no additional water is added.


Dry Extrusion: The core curing and forming process of the dry floating fish feed making machine. The pretreated dry material enters the dry fish feed pellet extruder machine at a uniform speed. The meshing rotation of the twin screws generates strong shear friction, and combined with the built-in steam heating device, quickly creates a high-temperature environment of 120-160℃ and a high-pressure environment of 3-5MPa within the extrusion chamber. Under the action of the extruder, the starch in the raw material rapidly gelatinizes, the protein denatures, and the moisture is converted into superheated steam. The pressure drops sharply the moment the material is extruded from the die, causing the steam to expand and escape rapidly, creating a porous structure inside the pellet. Simultaneously, the cutter cuts the pellets into a set size (2-8mm). Compared to wet extruders, dry extruders do not require subsequent dehydration, directly producing semi-dry pellets, suitable for dry dog ​​food production.


Post-processing: This process completes the shaping and quality optimization of the dry material. The extruded semi-dry pellets (moisture content 18%-22%) are sent to a drying and cooling machine, dried at 90-100℃ until the moisture content is ≤12%, and simultaneously cooled to room temperature to enhance pellet hardness and storage resistance. After drying, qualified pellets are screened by a vibrating screen, and the broken pieces are returned to the raw material silo for secondary extrusion. Subsequently, oil can be sprayed and powder can be added for flavoring (oil addition ≤5%) to improve palatability. Finally, after being checked for impurities by a metal detector, the pellets are sealed and packaged, completing the entire dry dog ​​food production process. The entire process is synchronized with the parameters of the dry fish feed production equipment to ensure stable pellet quality.
