The advent of puffed snack production lines has brought many healthy puffed snacks to the public.
The core ingredient of corn crisps is corn flour, but making them involves more than just grinding the corn into powder. The corn needs to be finely ground to ensure a fine and uniform consistency. Next, the corn flour is mixed with a small amount of wheat flour, sugar, and salt, and an appropriate amount of water is added to form a dough. Controlling the moisture level is crucial in this step: too dry will cause the finished product to crack, while too wet will affect its crispness.
The forming stage is what makes Cheerios Corn Crisps unique. The dough is fed into a special mold and extruded and puffed at high temperatures, instantly forming a hollow ring-like structure. This process gives Cheerios Corn Crisps their light and fluffy texture. After low-temperature baking to remove excess moisture, they are then sprayed with a thin layer of vegetable oil and sprinkled with seasoning powder, resulting in a golden, crispy Cheerios Corn Crisps.
Modern snack production lines rely heavily on automated equipment. From mixing the ingredients to packaging and sealing, nearly every step is handled by precision machinery. Quality control is a crucial part of the production process. Regular sampling and testing is conducted on the production line to check indicators such as moisture content, crispness, and seasoning uniformity of snacks. This ensures that every package of snacks delivered to consumers meets expectations.

Core process introduction:
(1) Raw material pretreatment system
Corn kernels need to be cleaned, screened, and cleaned to ensure they are free of mold or impurities. Some production lines also adjust the moisture content of the corn to make it more suitable for puffing.
(2) Puffing machine
This is the "heart" of the production line. The corn kernels enter the puffing chamber through the feeder and are instantly puffed under high temperature and high pressure.
(3) Shaping and cooling
The shape of the puffed corn balls may be irregular and needs to be adjusted to a standard round shape through a shaping roller or mold.
(4) Seasoning system
Cheese powder or other seasonings are applied to the surface of the popcorn through spraying or rollers.
(5) Packaging process
The finished product goes through processes such as automatic weighing and nitrogen filling packaging to ensure sealing and shelf life.
