Your straw can be in any physical state (baled, long, shredded, with impurities, wet, dry, fermented, or silage). Your raw material can be pure straw or mixed with other materials (agricultural and forestry waste, additives, etc.).
Many customers' raw materials contain impurities, requiring equipment such as drum screens and iron removers to remove these different types of impurities. This raw material cleaning ensures pellet quality and protects equipment in subsequent processes.
Some straw needs to be baled, some long, and some crushed. This requires different crushers to process different straw materials. Balers, shredders, and straw crushers are the most common.
Some customers use multiple raw materials in straw pellet processing. To ensure pellet uniformity, these raw materials need to be crushed and then mixed. The mixing stage is also suitable for adding additives to the raw materials.
If the moisture content of the straw raw material is higher than 20%, a drying system is required. Natural drying is also possible if space or other conditions permit. If the moisture content of the straw is lower than 20%, a drying system is not required. Our drying system is not only suitable for straw pellet processing, we can also provide drying system equipment and equipment configurations tailored to the specific raw material.
We recommend different straw pellet machines for different types of straw pellet processing. Generally speaking, straw pellet machines can be divided into two categories: straw fuel pellet machines and straw feed pellet machines. Straw fuel pellet machines do not require a conditioner, while straw pellet machines used for feed processing do require a conditioner because feed pellet processing requires high temperatures, aging, and sterilization.
After pelletizing, the straw is very hot and needs to be cooled to room temperature to reduce the moisture content of the straw pellets for subsequent packaging and storage. Furthermore, during the straw pellet processing process, a small amount of unqualified pellets and powder may be produced. Therefore, screening equipment is required to separate the qualified straw pellets, while the unqualified pellets and powder are re-pelletized.
Bagging is an optional process. Some customers process straw pellets for their own factories or farms, while others prefer to package straw pellets into different sizes for sale. We can customize a complete pellet baling system, including filling, bag sewing, and stacking. We can also configure the baling system with conveying, dust removal, and other features to meet customer needs.
